U.S. weapons manufacturers profit from murders
We heard much condemnation in the U.S. media over the arms and equipment Iran and Syria allegedly provide the Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah with. But nothing was ever mentioned about who provides Israel with the deadly weaponry that killed hundreds of civilians, mostly children and youth, in Lebanon.
A recently released report by the World Policy Institute and titled 'U.S Military Assistance and Arms Transfers to Israel” discussed how Washington provides billions of dollars worth military equipment and weaponry to Israel on a yearly basis and how the Israelis' current arsenal is composed of U.S made equipment.
Below is an interview Democracy Now had with Frida Berrigan, a Senior Research Associate with the Arms Trade Resource Center at the World Policy Institute, and the co-author of the report.
